Canadell family are farmers and have their own sheep farm but, in their free time, they enjoy the sport hunting. Their house was sited in a non-developable area (S.N.U.) of the outskirts of Lliçà. There, they could directly control the land production and the farm but, with the family evolution, came the needing of make bigger their home, which had the house on the first floor and, on the ground floor, the storage of the work tools and some opened spaces. Because of its siting, the urban situation of the building required a special authorization from “La Generalitat”, the Catalan Government, which was obviously given because neither the buildability nor the whole volume of the house grew up. The project dealt with the volumetric regularization of the building, removing the external staircase and closing the opened spaces on the ground floor. The inclusion of the stairs in the indoor gave a special situation, in which the previous house upstairs stayed almost intact and the pieces on the ground floor were configured to become someday in a second complete house.
