Limitation of Energy Demand [LIDER]
Inside the frame of the Edification Technical Code (Spanish current rules for constructions (CTE)), LIDER is an official software application that allows to comply with the General Option Verification to check the limitation of the energy demand, established by the CTE-DB HE1. The justification for this requirement by the General option is mandatory when the building exceeds 60% of holes at façades, 5% on roofs, or when any of the elements of the envelope exceeds the maximum values of thermal transmittance.
LIDER AS PROJECT TOOL
During the project, LIDER application let us check who works in terms of energy, the constructive section thought by us. Its material library, which can be expanded, let us, technicians, to study and improve the thermal properties of the constructive section of the building as well as to calculate the optimum width of materials to be supplied and used at the construction site, to comply with the current rules.
FINAL RESULT: LIDER’S REPORT
The spaces and construction solutions of the building are defined on this software. After that the application prints a document where is shown whether the building COMPLIES or DOES NOT COMPLY with the minimum requirements of the HE1 from CTE. Before getting to this result, the software calculates a Reference Building, with is exactly the same like ours but which would comply with the MINIMUM energetic requirements from HE1. To get a favourable outcome, the Object Building (our building with our constructive solutions), has to behave better than the Reference one.
